It's exciting to be a key part of a progressive, leading edge practice. It's one of my jobs though to make sure that you're comfortable being here and feel welcomed. We know the technology can be overwhelming for some patients. If you have any suggestions to help us reach our goal of - 'patients first - always!' - please let me know!

 Some tests are done at our office before you see the doctor.  These are designed to give the doctor some important information to help him/her better understand the condition of your eyes and vision.  Our well trained clinic staff is responsible for this aspect of your examination called pretesting.  They are also responsible for guiding you through some tests the doctor may feel are necessary after the examination such as visual field testing, digital retinal photographs and contact lens instruction.  

We are proud to say that Unnati Desai has been with our office for ten years. Her sense of humor meshed with her technical knowledge and helpful nature are assets to both the office and, more importantly, our patients. We are proud to have her as part of our EyeCare team.

Elisha has been with our office for nine years and is a friendly, knowledgeable asset both to us and to our patients.  Amongst her other many skills, Elisha is the Optometric Technician who is the primary instructor for new wearers to contact lenses, and has been doing so for over seven years. Notably, she does not wear contacts but her kindness and patience have made this sometimes tricky process a breeze for hundreds of patients over the years.

Debbie Gillespie has been with us for a full two years. She is a bright and friendly first contact with the office and her knowledge and demeanor carry through to office check out and next appointment making. If you have any questions regarding your care in our office, Debbie will be happy to help you find the answer and will always do it with a smile.

Lir Glas has only been with a few months but has already shown herself to be energetic, helpful, and very concerned with patient care.  This field is new for her, but kindness and interest in others are very obviously ingrained habits.

Jennifer McKown has been with our team for ten years in many capacities. Her skillset is so varied that we are happy to be able to have her help our patients in a number of ways. She is a skilled Optometric Technician and has been Certified in the past.

Currently, we have her in charge of our patient billing process. If you have any questions regarding statements of balance dues to the office, please feel free to reach out to Jennifer and she will be able and happy to address your concerns.   She will also be able to direct you if the question or concern you have needs to be addressed not with us, but with your insurance company, for instance.

We are proud to say that Nancy has been with our company for eight years and is the primary person responsible for maintaining the contact lens dispensary. She can answer questions about the types of lenses available to you as well as questions about care for contact lenses and solutions.  She is also bilingual in both English and Spanish and is a good contact person for our patients for whom English is not a first language.
 

Rebecca Riccitelli has been with our office for fifteen years. She is the primary person responsible for insurance billing in our office and is the contact person for patient's concerns or questions regarding insurance claims, eligibility, and determinations.

She is in the office Monday through Friday between 9:30 am and 6:oo pm.  If you are need a question answered or have a concern not answered by your insurance Explanation of Benefits, she is the right person to contact. Rebecca will also be able to direct your questions or concerns to the next level, if you are not completely satisfied.

As a reminder, our office accepts many insurances, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, EyeMed, Great West HealthCare Vision, Medicare, Superior Vision, and Vision Service Plan.  And again, Rebecca and others on our staff will do our utmost to determine your benefits prior to your visit, but cannot guarantee coverage even if preauthorized by the insurance company. All patients are responsible for all charges not covered by their insurance company.

Lauren Rossi has been with our office for six years. She is a friendly and warm member of our staff and a helpful and knowledgeable contact person for our patients. We are proud and happy to have her as part of our team.

Carla Schrock has been with us under one year but has already become an untold asset both to us and to our patients. Her bright smile and contagious laugh bring a warmth to the office. We are very lucky to have her as part of our EyeCare team.

Kenesha Samuels, though brand new to our practice, has shown herself to be an efficient and friendly addition to our EyeCare team. We know that you will be happy with her care during pretesting and special testing and that she will be able to answer your questions thoroughly and accurately.

Hina Shah has been with our office for ten years. She is a highly efficient and skilled Optometric Technician with a vast knowledge of our office procedures and patient care. She is a wonderful contact person for any questions you may have with regards to billing, insurance, and our special testing/pretesting.
